Kazafani is a large predominantly Turkish mixed in the occupied Keryneia District.

Geographical Location: It lies 4 km Southeast of Keryneia, on the coastal plane of Keryneia at an elevation of 80m.

Population: The population of this community consisted in 1960 of 458 Greeks and 598 Turks. Its Greek population in 1973 was 410 and its Turkish population in 1973 was 644.

Christian Places of Worship: Within this community, are the churches of Agios Andronikos, Agia Athanasia and the chapels of Agios Georgios (Cemetary), Archangelos Michail, Panagia Potamitissa (Archaio Mnimeio), Agios Antonios.

Schools: The 1 Greek Primary Schools had 42 students during the 1973-74 school year.

Effects of the 1974 Turkish Invasion: During the Turkish Invasion of 1974, this community was taken over by the Turkish army and as a result the whole of its Greek population was ethnically cleansed. Since then, the Turkish occupation forces and the illegal occupation authority prevent their return.
