Fyllia is a Greek community in the occupied part of the Lefkosia District.
Geographical Location: It lies 25 km West of Nicosia and 9 km East of Morfou.
Population: The population of this community in 1960 numbered 731 (all Greeks).
Christian Places of Worship: Within this community, are the churches of Agios Georgios, Profitis Ilias and the chapels of Axopetra (ruins), Palioekklisia (ruins).
Schools: The 1 Greek Primary Schools had 186 students during the 1973-74 school year.
Effects of the 1974 Turkish Invasion: During the Turkish Invasion of 1974, this community was taken over by the Turkish army and as a result the whole of its Greek population was ethnically cleansed. Since then, the Turkish occupation forces and the illegal occupation authority prevent their return.
