Eptakomi (Eptagkomi) Επτακώμη (Επτάγκωμη)
Eptakomi (Eptagkomi) is a predominantly Greek mixed in the occupied Karpasia region.
Geographical Location: It lies 38 km North of Ammochostos at an elevation of 150m.
Population: The population of this community consisted in 1960 of 738 Greeks and 233 Turks. Its Greek population in 1973 was 580 and its Turkish population in 1973 was 228.
Christian Places of Worship: Within this community, are the churches of Agios Georgios, Apostolos Loukas and the chapels of Agios Epifanios (ruins), Agios Afxentios (carved), Agia Agathi, Agia Eirini (ruins), Archangelos Michail, Agios Loukas (ruins) (Holy Monastery).
Schools: The 1 Greek Primary Schools had 42 students during the 1973-74 school year.
Effects of the 1974 Turkish Invasion: During the Turkish Invasion of 1974, this community was taken over by the Turkish army and as a result the whole of its Greek population was ethnically cleansed. Since then, the Turkish occupation forces and the illegal occupation authority prevent their return.
